HOME MAINTENANCE INSPECTION

Regular maintenance of the structural and mechanical systems is necessary in order to preserve the overall good condition of your home. Think of your home as you would your car—what would happen if you never changed the oil? Whether you intend to live in the home permanently or to eventually sell, regular home maintenance inspections will save you money over time and ensure that your living space is safe and efficient.

Pre-Listing Inspection

Before you decide to list a home, it’s a great idea to have the property’s condition professionally assessed. This way, you can learn of any repairs or improvements that may be recommended before the home catches the eye of prospective buyers. A Pre-Listing inspection allows you to identify and resolve issues that may create difficulties during negotiations.

New Construction Inspection

As the finishing touches are being applied to a newly constructed home, it’s wise to schedule an inspection before putting down the welcome mat. In a New Construction Inspection, we’ll thoroughly evaluate the property to make sure that all building codes are met and that nothing significant was missed that would create safety concerns or costly repairs for the homebuyer.

New Construction Phase Inspection

To maintain the safe and timely construction of a new home, it’s prudent to hire the services of a professional home inspector. In a Phase Inspection, From The Ground Up NW will come to the construction site at several critical times during the building process—prior to the concrete pour to just before the pre-final walkthrough. As we perform our inspections, we’ll carefully examine the materials used in construction and the overall structure to ensure that current building codes are met. We’ll also assess the mechanical systems and other important components to confirm that everything is operational and safe.

1-Year Warranty Inspection

Most new homes are backed by a 1-year warranty from the builder that covers specific issues as outlined in the original agreement. When From The Ground Up NW performs a Warranty Inspection, we’ll carefully evaluate readily accessible areas of your home to identify any defects that have emerged since your move-in. You can then use the information gathered in your report to consult with the builder and schedule repairs that are covered under your home’s warranty.

Commercial Inspection

When planning to open up a new business or to invest in a different location, a prospective property must be sufficient for your needs and those of your customers. Above all, the building needs to be safe and up to code. We offer comprehensive inspections for commercial and investment properties that will provide you with the pertinent information you need when considering a purchase.

Water Testing

Whether you’re a current homeowner or you’ve taken interest in a seller’s property, clean drinking water is of great importance. Without it, a home can hardly be considered livable. A water test will check for contaminants in the water supply such as heavy metals or bacteria that could be hazardous to you and your family.
